The project scope includes the design and build of two new build single family residences to be located at 763 and 765 Jersey Street in the Crestmoor Neighborhood on the east side of Denver, CO. These projects are located within the school boundary for Carson Elementary. The neighborhood is full of history and architectural features which include a strong brick presence, wood and metal elements as well as defined and welcoming front porches. The macro design intent of the homes is focused around creating two neighboring single family homes with great interior-to-exterior relationships while reading off each other spatially and visually. Each home will consist of approximately 3,200sf above grade square footage with full finished basements consisting of approximately 1,500sf. A material pallet will consists of mainly brick, stucco, wood and glass. Each home will be similar in regards to construction techniques to maximize building efficiency and costs while each layout will vary in material, glazing and detail treatments to create two well characterized homes.
